HELLO, I'M
Software Engineering Student
01 / ABOUT
I'm a Software Engineering student focused on building my career in software development.
Currently exploring Python, backend development, APIs and automation.
THE BEGINNING / BRAZIL
I graduated from a public high school in Brazil in 2015. Technology had always fascinated me — I spent countless hours in front of computers and screens — but for a long time, I struggled to turn that interest into a clear path for my future.
FINDING MY PATH / BRAZIL
After high school, I enrolled in an Accounting degree. Mathematics had always been one of my strengths, so I thought it would be the right path for me. I soon realized it wasn't. I decided to change direction and switched to Computer Science — and that was when everything started to make sense.
LEAVING HOME / BRAZIL TO EUROPE
Unfortunately, financial circumstances made it difficult for me to continue my studies. I decided to put my Computer Science degree on hold and leave Brazil to build a more stable life in Europe. My goal was always to create better opportunities for myself and, one day, return to university and continue the path I had started.
BUILDING A NEW LIFE / GERMANY
In Germany, I spent several years working in Italian ice cream cafés, serving the traditional gelato that has always been part of the culture of the region where I grew up in Brazil. I enjoyed my work and built a comfortable life, but over time I realized that I had also left an important dream behind: building a career in technology.
STARTING AGAIN / SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
After years away from university, my desire to build a career in technology returned stronger than ever. I spent weeks researching universities and looking for a high quality program that would allow me to study remotely while continuing the life I had built in Germany.
At 28, I decided it was time to start again. I chose Software Engineering at IU International University and began rebuilding my knowledge from the fundamentals. Today, I turn what I learn into real projects and continue improving my skills every day.
BUILDING THE FUTURE / VITOR.DEV
This website is part of that journey. As I learn, build and improve, I document my progress here through the projects I create and the challenges I overcome along the way.
